Community Conversations

Our Community Conversation events are designed to bring local people together to discuss key issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities.

These sessions are open to everyone – members of the public, LGBT+ individuals, allies, and local service providers. They create a welcoming space where concerns can be shared openly and ideas explored about how Hart Gables can continue to move forward and make a positive impact.

Each event offers:

🌈 A safe and inclusive environment for honest dialogue
🀝 Valuable networking opportunities
πŸ’‘ A platform for Hart Gables to adapt and develop its services in response to what our community truly needs

Conversations often cover significant national developments such as the Cass Report, Supreme Court rulings, and guidance on transgender inclusion in schools.

We typically hold 2–3 sessions each year. As these conversations focus on emerging and timely issues, events are scheduled in response to current developments. While dates aren’t set far in advance, we always provide plenty of notice so you can join us.

This year, Team HG hosted a Community Conversation in response to the Supreme Court ruling, bringing people together to share their views and support each other. A video summary of the conversation is shown below.
