Upcoming LGBT Tees Valley Forum Meeting

We would like to invite you to our second LGBT Tees Valley Forum.
From September 2020 all secondary schools will be required to teach pupils about sexual orientation and gender identity, and all primary schools will be required to teach about different families.

As we celebrate a great step forwards for LGBT inclusion in England’s schools, we want to support our local Teesside schools to become inclusive for young people who identify as LGBT+.

In view of this significant progression the next forum meeting will in part explore LGBT+ inclusion in Schools and we would encourage teaching professionals in the local area to attend and become part of the conversation.

The remainder of the forum will focus on LGBT domestic abuse and action planning. Please see attachment for more details.

If you wish to attend the forum please confirm as soon as possible, there are limited spaces available.

We will be providing a sign language interpreter at this event and the building has disability access. If you require an interpreter we do ask for a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice prior to the forum (21st June) to confirm. (If you have any dietary requirements please include them in your confirmation email)

Forum members will take priority places. To become a member contact Sian Parker at sian.parker@hartgables.org.uk
