Put Out Hate

On behalf of our service, I would like to thank each individual and organisation who attended the ‘Put Out Hate’ event that took place earlier today, a special thanks is given to Cleveland Fire Brigade and the National Lottery Community Fund, without their support the event could not have went ahead.

Hate crime touches the lives of people everywhere, the pain it inspires harms individuals and communities at a local, national and global level.

Today we have seen an encouraging number of local services and stakeholders working together and standing in solidarity, against all strands and forms of hatred.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those brave individuals who spoke candidly about their experiences, the team and I would also like to thank each partner organisation who gave attendees an insight into their organisations mission and the services they offer.

Special thanks go to our Forum Coordinator Kay, for planning and facilitating such a valuable and inspiring event that has very much rejuvenated our services drive and approach to tackling hate crime in Teesside.

Thank you

Sarah Lewis – Chief Executive Officer, Hart Gables.
