Our Stockton office is closed for the week

Here at Hart Gables our stance on inclusion is very clear, our organisation welcomes everyone.

We are devastated at the hate fuelled violence that we have seen over the past week, and we understand that this is more than just headlines for many of the ethnically minoritised people we support.

Given the diversity of the people we support, for their safety and that of our team, our Stockton office will be closed for the remainder of the week. All face-to-face support and group sessions in Stockton and Middlesbrough are cancelled with immediate effect and will be replaced by virtual support, or at other locations. Service users will be contacted by staff with further information regarding contact numbers and links to online support sessions. All other work will continue as normal.

We are an organisation that is and will be there for anyone affected personally, or emotionally by recent events, and we encourage you to reach out to us if you need to. If there is any specific support you need, please do not hesitate to ask.

There is no justification for anyone carrying out, encouraging or attempting to rationalise these actions.

We have a zero tolerance approach to harassment and racism. We will not tolerate anyone peddling hate speech in our organisation, or supporting the violence that’s taken place this past week.
