On the 21st April, we launched our ‘Welcome Hope’ project, an initiative that aims to build on our support for LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum in Teesside and East Durham.
We also screened our short film, the aim of which gave local people seeking asylum a platform to share their stories and dispel myths currently circulating in todays society – a powerful, emotional and eye opening film.
Thank you to all those who attended our event, our funders Hospital of God and of course, film makers Jolly Films who captured our aim perfectly.
