Gain experience and help your local LGBT* community.
Volunteers are an important and valued part of Hart Gables, they allow us to raise awareness and provide more services.
By volunteering with us, you will become a part of the North East’s leading LGB/T Charity. This is a good opportunity to meet new people, expand on your skills and work with your local LGB/T community. You will gain knowledge and free training relevant to your role ranging from LGB/T awareness to Hate Crime. This will help you in applying for future jobs in the community/voluntary sector.
You will have the chance to work with the amazing service users that access our service, help around our office in Stockton as well as working in the community providing training and attending events. We have very varied roles meaning there’s something for everyone.
Volunteers week is every year between the 1st - 7th June, during this time we celebrate the work our fantastic volunteers have done with an awards night. As well as the awards night, we have a reward system to thank volunteers for the hours they contribute.
